Old Building.png

How It All Started

In 1975, a group of local women met to discuss women's recreational needs in the Frankston area. From this the Women's Activity Group (WAG) was born. It provided vital activities such as recreational programs, self-help and parenting. It also sought to ease attendance and as such offered free childcare, transport and low cost activities. WAG was incorporated in 1983 and has since been renamed to Belvedere Community Centre Inc. To this day we seek to enrich the dynamics of the community for men and women.

FACILITY UPDATE

Healthy Futures Hub

We moved in on 10th July 2023!
Our 30 year old building was no longer fit for our needs. Belvedere Community Centre has been identified as a priority community organisation to be part of the St Kilda Football Club 'Linen House' redevelopment at 151 East Road, Seaford. The club operates some community football programs from the Belvedere Reserve in Seaford.
