Belvedere Community Centre run a range of Adult Education Classes.
Our English Language, Literacy and Computer programs are government (ACFE) funded. *To be eligible for funded places you must be an Australian Citizen / Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen.
English language and Work Skills level 1 * ACFE funded
Tuesday & Friday 9:00am - 11:00am
For people who have basic English language skills and need assistance to develop confidence for use in everyday life or the workplace, in a small supportive group. This class will assist with the alphabet, pronunciation and numbers as well as speaking and reading simple sentences.

Build your English language skills in grammar, conversation and writing in a small group setting. This course will provide hands on, practical activities to improve your English in a wide variety of everyday situations including in the workplace.

Improve and develop your communication skills for everyday life at home or the workplace, with lessons in reading and writing. Use the latest technology to assist you in achieving your goals. For native English speaking students.
Reading and Writing support for people with a learning disability * ACFE funded
Monday 9:30am - 12:30pm *NEW*
This course is suitable for people with a learning disability who would like support to develop their reading and writing skills.
Initial assessment required for all enrollments - please ring the office to book your time.
Fees for all English classes:
$80 per term if Australian resident
$50 per term concession
$100 per term if not an Australian resident
If attending 2 courses: $120 / $75 per term
Introduction to Medical Reception
Tuesday 6:00pm - 9:00pm *ACFE funded
7 week course
Gain an overview of working within the medical field by learning medical terminology, administration procedures and correspondence. Explore further study and career pathways including general practice, specialist rooms, audio transcription, aged care facilities, pharmacy and others. $150 / $110 concession fee includes manual. *Eligibility criteria applies

This is a great program if you are thinking of returning to work or study. Using either a lap top (bring your own) or desk top computer, you will learn to use Windows 10, internet, email and other office equipment.
